A Story of Struggle, Recovery, and Legacy

Four Wings Leather was born from both heartbreak and healing. For much of my life, I wrestled with substance use—a battle that nearly consumed me. My brother, Lee, fought the same fight, but in 2018 he lost his battle with addiction. His absence is felt every day, but his memory continues to guide me. The name Four Wings is a tribute to him, and to the way my family believes our loved ones never truly leave us. For us, dragonflies symbolize Lee—appearing in moments when we need a reminder that he is still with us.

My wife, Kari, has walked a similar road. She knows the weight of addiction and the miracle of recovery, because she’s lived it. Our separate journeys through darkness eventually brought us together at exactly the right time. Sobriety didn’t just give us our lives back—it gave us each other. Together, we’ve built a marriage rooted in resilience and gratitude, and we’ve been blessed with two beautiful children, Charlie and Milo.
